live to serve

Live to Serve is a non-profit organization, inspired to impact and care for the needs of low income individuals, single mothers and seniors in the Philadelphia area. The organization was in need of a logo and brand identity to help establish them now and in the years to come.

  • Navy blue should be part of the color scheme.
  • Delivery within 3 weeks of production start.
  • Collaborate with Live to Serve’s founder and marketer to produce the logo.

Working with Live to Serve’s founder and marketer, we created a scope and sequence in order to meet the 3-week delivery of the logo and materials. We determined and scheduled  independent and team tasks such as reviewing the creative brief, brainstorming logo ideas, researching, presenting and revising.

To create a consistent and professional look for Live to Serve’s brand, we chose to use 2 main colors: navy blue and a bright yellow/green – which added a burst of energy and contrast. We also liked having the option to use the logo in all white when used on Instagram photos or dark backgrounds.

A clean and modern sans serif font called Gilroy was chosen for use in the logo and on materials because it’s free to download online and in the event someone in the organization needed a font for use on bespoke materials, they could easily download the font and use it to help maintain brand consistency.

The consistent and attractive marketing materials have put Live to Serve on a level playing field with other non-profit organizations. The consistent look has helped communicate trust and professionalism to the people they serve and those who partner with them.
